Yesterday was Munchkin’s 8th birthday! We went to Chuck E. Cheese, ate pizza, went toy shopping, and had ice cream cake. This year he was given the choice of getting presents or getting money from the relatives and doing his own shopping.. he went for the money & shopping. While he did end up buying things yesterday, I’m proud to say that he saved over half of his birthday money “for another day” without anyone suggesting it. I’m glad he had a great time but I’m also happy that we’ve been able to hang around the house today and chill.. I’m exhausted!

Those candles look like licorice whips, yum (to me, anyway). That is cool that he got to do his own shopping. At Christmas the grandparents usually sent the boys money and they love after christmas shopping for great deals!

8? Wow! Where does the time go? I’m so glad to hear that the day was a good one for the Munchkin. And that he was so responsible with his money. I could take lessons…
