(*bullet post list without the bullets because the formatting was pissing me off)
–I’m going to bail out of NaBloPoMo after tonight because I realized that with moving this month I won’t be able to post every day… especially if we have an internet hookup delay like we did last time.
–We went looking for houses today and should find out in a few days whether the one we wanted is ours. Good mojo is needed for our application being accepted please!!
–After looking at houses we sort of realized how freakin’ lucky we were to find a house with such large rooms this time around.
We also realized JUST HOW MUCH SHIT WE HAVE. I’m currently trying to get up the motivation to go through and reduce what we own by half if possible.
–One of the cats (I’m going to assume its Ms. Kitty) has taken to peeing in Munchkin’s bed. Last night, it happened WHILE MY SON WAS IN THE BED. Yes, my cat peed on my son’s feet. I don’t know if she’s jealous of Jack being friendly with Munchkin or if she’s upset about moving (AGAIN) because she usually has a tear of bad behaviour and peeing on things before we move.
–I think I’m getting sick.
–My anxiety level is through the roof and I’m having trouble holding food down. I constantly feel like I’m being chased by a bear.. its miserable. This happened last time we moved as well…
–If anyone has any links for awesome decluttering help sites, I’m all (mouse) ears.

Bad Ms. Kitty!
Heh, if you say my place, you’d realize that I desperately need decluttering help myself…
Time to break out the Saltines?
D’oh – I meant saW, not saY.
It is time for some good times! lets find you a house and get on with the happiness that is chez mouse. My hope is it happens quite soon. Poor munchkin; cat pee, ack.
Wishing you good luck! You are over do for some.
I’ll admit to being a pack rat, but here are some tips that I’ve found useful:
–Bins (various sizes, see thru plastic with lids). Only put like items in each, label them and store with labels out so that you can see what’s in them. Even make a list on an index card if the bin’s contents require that much detail, as long as you can see it thru the plastic.
–If you haven’t used it (like raw materials…fiber, yarn, fabric, computer parts, whatever) in 2 yrs. or more, then seriously think of liberating it into someone else’s stash. Having turnover in your stash is a good thing…creates more creativity.
–Take advantage of craigslist, community garage sales, your own garage sale, rummage sales, and charitiable donations to get rid of stuff that you no longer need. Again, if you decide later that you really did need that sort of thing, go out and get it at one of the above sources. You don’t necessarily have to buy new on many items.
–Clothes that family members have outgrown: unless there is some serious sentimental value attached (like Great-Grandma knitted this shawl), get rid of them. The only exceptions being if you are planning on having more children, then only keep a small selection of clean, unstained jammies, tshirts and pants, well labeled, in the usual sizes. Anything with a cartoon character or trendy, get rid of. By the time it’s needed, it will be too dated.
–Shoes: tough one for many. They don’t last forever. Leather, glues & vinyls dry out, crack and/or get stained. Once this happens, get rid of them. Only keep one pair of dirty work sneakers/shoes/boots, get rid of the others.
–Seaspnal use items (including holiday decorations, occassionally used cookware, textiles, etc.): Again, store in well labeled bins.
Bins take up more space than just cramming in willy-nilly. However, by pairing down and labeling well, you can find what you have, when you want it and move it easily when you need to.
Sorry no big tips on decluttering. To be honest I need them as well. Since I am a pack kitty.
Just wanted to let you know that you were in my thoughts and I hope things work out.
Take care and sending a hug. Feel better
I’ve heard people rave about FLY LADY. I don’t have a link, but if you google Flylady, you’ll find her. She’s supposedly a de-cluttering marvel.
